I spent three hours taking pictures in Milwaukee, quitting when I could no longer feel my fingers. The Port of Milwaukee area was a true bonanza: even the shadows were cool.

Over time, I’ve taken quite a few pictures of stairways that curve around huge storage tanks, but these had the added bonus of polka-dotted shadows. Woo-Hoo!  Industrial Bling!

  1. David says:

The polka dots are fabulous! Nice job.

  2. I cannot tell a lie: I originally included a link to Ella Fitzgerald singing “Stairway to the Stars”–sort of soundtracking the blog, but decided to delete it right before I hit “Publish.” Kept the title, though. And I really did like her voice bouncing up against the industrial grittiness of the tanks.

  3. John says:

All wonderful….but: LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the first shot!

  4. Marjorie says:

So enigmatic is the first, leaving me with questions….always telling me to come back.

  5. That first shot is incredible………
