    • Thank you for being so understanding, Gretchen. Did you know that the adults stay with their young for the entire season? Also–unlike Hostess Twinkies and Canadian Geese, these cranes do not mate for life.

  7. Fantastic and poetic! Also, brings up memories of back in the pre-architecture meta-history period of my life when I (now in disbelief) climbed to the top of crane booms as part of my job at the time.

      As for your youthful crane-climbing career…ACK! Just trying to imagine it leaves me grabbing at the desk for support.
