As the king’s pie-maker approached, an uneasy silence fell upon the forest.

    • Of course–baked with potatoes, carrots, maybe turnips or parsnips–a lighter version of a pasty, which for me, MUST be eaten with ketchup. (If Cornish miners did not settle in your part of the world, you’ll need to look that up.)

      And it’s pronounced “pass-tee.” 🙂

        Considering the city of Sydney is in the state of New South Wales, yes, we do know about Cornish Pasties.

        The American word ketchup, however, continues to confound me.

      No, no…don’t worry. That’s not blood. Only ketchup.
