Four images

Queen Anne’s Lace, Potawatomi Park, Door County.

Same flower, but different setting, different quality of light and fifty miles from my own bevy of Queens.

  1. Schwister says:

These photos are gorgeous! You’ve opened my eyes to these beauties.

  2. Lignum Draco says:

Lovely photos. Is this your new “rust”?

  3. jean says:

Because of your acute eye in favor of The Queen, I stopped on my roadside walk to take a closer look. This little beauty made me think of a fractals. A lace of repeated parts…absolutely lovely. Thank you PD!

    • And thank you, JH. I like to approach most of my subjects with a sense of wonder. And I know that sounds dorky, but I want to show the resulting photos and say to the viewer “Isn’t this marvelous?”

Our good friend, MM, told me that she once choose large QAL blossoms and then dried them in…silica? We need to ask her again–and then hung them on her Christmas tree–they lasted for several years.
