“Take me for a ride in your Mack Truck

Take me for a ride in your truck, Mack

Take me for a ride, take me for a ride,

Take me for a ride in your Mack Truck…Mack”

From the continuing junkyard series.

Love the P,P& M references. Would a younger audience get it? Who cares?

  2. Nice pics. I love old rusty truck…(Suzanne)

  3. andykidd says:

Like the photos, can’t say I have fond memories of the song. The truck is a good find, but what a waste, except for photographic purposes. Too far gone to be restored I guess.

    • This really is a junkyard–there’s nothing here that can be fixed up or lovingly restored. My idea of heaven, of course. Might be breaking a classic car lover’s heart, though. I’ve shown a few of my shots to guys I know who are big car fans and I suspect that at least a couple might be tempted to make the pilgrimage just to see the place.

    • Thought about you as I was packing the car for the Thanksgiving trek to Minnesota. In the past, I have fretted over getting a pie across the state lines safely. This year, I solved the problem by bringing a case of wine as my contribution. Thought you might like that idea. 🙂

      • andykidd says:

That’s brilliant, and it helps tomake friends with those border guards. One bottle rather than one pie makes a lot of sense 🙂 By the way, we have a full cellar here, if you happen to pass by you can come empty handed.

    • Excellent…I don’t even want to contemplate the horrors of transporting a pie through customs. You are most gracious. 🙂

  4. Jane Lurie says:

I love the bulldog close-up and the song is perfect. Love the great mileage you’re getting from this fabulous junkyard, Patricia.

  5. Lignum Draco says:

Nice song choice, and the junkyard dog is a great touch.
